the 18th of August 2004 BT announced that it is removing the distance related
limits for the most popular Broadban services, bringing potentially more than a

able to get Broadban regardless of how far away you are from the exchange.
Although you will need to have a line test and there may still
be a few who are unable to get Broadban, these will be in
the minority - and Broadban-Cornwall will be striving to bring the
benefits of Broadban to these through alternative Broadban technologies.
What’s
more, the range for 1MB/sec premium services will be increased from 4km to
approximately 6km – making 1Mb/sec ADSL Broadban available to 96% of homes
and businesses connected to a Broadban exchange.
