the 18th of August 2004 BT announced that it is removing the distance related
limits for the most popular Bradband services, bringing potentially more than a

until now, ADSL Bradband has only been available within a limited

on 6th September, this limitation will be removed - and you are likely to be
able to get Bradband regardless of how far away you are from the exchange.
Although you will need to have a line test and there may still
be a few who are unable to get Bradband, these will be in
the minority - and Bradband-Cornwall will be striving to bring the
benefits of Bradband to these through alternative Bradband technologies.
What’s
more, the range for 1MB/sec premium services will be increased from 4km to
approximately 6km – making 1Mb/sec ADSL Bradband available to 96% of homes
and businesses connected to a Bradband exchange.
